First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their support and kind wishes over the past week. I understand a lot of you were concerned about my well being and my sudden disappearance from cyberspace.
The truth of the matter is, I have no real excuse for my absence, other than the fact that my wife went to Texas for the week. With the queen bee away from her hive, I officially opened up "Man Town" for business this week. Sports and steak tips every night. Every night, I kid you not. It was awesome.
A lot has happened since my last post. The Red Sox started there season with a two-game split in Tokyo. Then they postponed there season to play three exhibition games in Cali before finally resuming yes-this-game-actually-counts-and-so-do-the-rest (even the All-Star game) baseball. Wow, you may need the Rosetta Stone to decipher what the hell I just said.
The Celtics have been taking care of business. In fact, they beat up the Miami Heat so bad today I wouldn't be surprised if Pat Riley abandoned ship. He already left the sidelines, and the next logical step is a not-so-quiet departure from the organization. He can probably cite actor/model (former NBA superstar) Dwayne Wade's lack of focus for his departure (see Wade's picture with Kanye West above).
Speaking of the Celtics, my boy Kendrick Perkins has a new blog, "I'm Kendrick Perkins - What Of It?" Check it out. The guy is a freak, in more ways than one. KP truly speaks to the fans. I mean it's as if he was a 5'6" average Joe (or Brian) caught in a 7 footers body. The guy is an avid sports fan and he is pretty hysterical. Seriously, check it out.
A brief fun fact about the NCAA tourney: This is the FIRST YEAR EVER that all four #1 seeds advanced to the Final Four. Another fun fact: I have consistently picked all four #1 seeds to advance to the final four for nearly a decade now, to which I have always been frowned upon for. But guess what? I failed to do a bracket this year! Go ahead and question my manhood, I deserve it.
I have to pick my wife up from the airport now. Man Town is officially closed.
Godspeed.
Would you be interested in organizing a 3 v. 3 tourney some weekend?
